Associated Press business editor Lisa Gibbs sent out the following announcement on Friday:

She can take the “interim” out of her title. Amy Finkelstein next week joins the Business Desk as team leader directing coverage of small business, food and shopping. Just in time for Black Friday.
When she took on the acting role, Amy jumped right in like she’d never left (she moved to the Central desk from Business news in 2009), shepherding spot news as well as projects. She also helped out (and still is) with Wells Fargo coverage. She brings enthusiasm about digital storytelling and a willingness to experiment with new formats and approaches.
After starting her AP career in Detroit in 1995, she moved to the multimedia department and then the international desk. She also spent three years as European Business Editor in London.
Please join me in congratulating and welcoming Amy!
