The Washington Post has tapped Brian Cleveland to the post of deputy multiplatform editing chief. Previously, he was a senior editor on the multiplatform desk.
He has also taught a news editing course at the Philip Merrill College of Journalism at the University of Maryland. Cleveland was earlier with The Virginian-Pilot for close to 7 years, working as a copy editor and then as copy desk chief.
He was also a copy editor at Duluth News Tribune in Duluth, MN.
Cleveland has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
