NewsNation has appointed Cherie Grzech as vice president of news, managing editor.
Her new role begins Jul. 19. She will be based in Chicago and will be reporting to Michael Corn, NewsNation’s president of news.
In her new role, Grzech will oversee the network’s day-to day news gathering and production process, and supervise a staff of more than 100 reporters, producers, writers, and photojournalists.
Previously, Grzech has served as VP, Fox News. She has also served as director of news and politics. Before that, she was a senior producer.
Grzech began her career in broadcast journalism as an intern and on-air reporter at WJBF-TV.
Additionally, she has also worked at WILX-TV and WRAL-TV.
She also won an Edward R. Murrow regional award for excellence at KATU-TV.
Grzech holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism/political science from Michigan State University and a master’s degree in journalism/new media from American University.
