The Columbia Daily Tribune has appointed Kevin Graeler managing editor, removing the interim tag that he held since January.
Previously, Graeler had served as night and weekend editor before becoming sports editor in 2019.
Graeler said:
“I look forward to leading the great team of journalists we have here at the Tribune. Our newsroom will strive every day to diligently report the stories that impact our community the most. We will continually commit ourselves to earning your trust.”
Graeler has also worked as a sports editor at the Hannibal Courier-Post.
“I’m excited about Kevin’s promotion to lead the Tribune newsroom,” added Carol Hunter, executive editor at the Des Moines Register and regional editor for Gannett/USA Today Network newspapers in the Plains Region.
Graeler is a graduate of the University of Missouri.
