The Guardian Australia has appointed Tamsin Rose as NSW state reporter and Michael McGowan as NSW state correspondent.
Rose will join from ABC, where she is a reporter. Previously, she was a cadet journalist, police reporter and federal political reporter at News Corp. There, she also co-found Caster, an online platform connecting Australian freelance journalists with publishers. Rose graduated from University of Melbourne.
McGowan has been with The Guardian for over 4 years. Previously, he was covering state and local politics as a reporter at the Newcastle Herald, Fairfax Media. McGowan has a bachelor´s degree in journalism from the University of Wollongong.
