Annys Shin is returning to The Washington Post Metro desk as social issues editor.
Her new role begins on September 21.
Currently, she is an articles editor on the staff of The Washington Post Magazine. Shin also launched a successful overhaul of Date Lab and other front-of-the-book staples.
Prior to joining the Post’s magazine, Shin was a lead reporter and writer on the Post’s Metro desk. Initially, she joined the Post as a national business reporter and also anchored The Washington Post’s first consumer blog.
Shin has been with the Post for more than 16 years now. Previously, she also served as a staff writer at Washington City Paper.
Shin is a B.A. in political science and government from Columbia University, New York.
