San Antonio Report taps Munsil as editor-in-chief

Leigh Munsil has been named editor-in-chief of the nonprofit San Antonio Report, succeeding founding editor Robert Rivard.

Her new role begins in November.

Munsil joins from CNN, where she was editor of The Point. Before that, she was a breaking news editor. She was also a political editor at TheBlaze. She has also worked as a web producer and defense reporter at Politico.

She has also reported for The Dallas Morning News, The Orange County Register, Arizona Capitol Times and The Arizona Republic.

She has also worked as editor-in-chief, managing editor, government reporter and night editor at The State Press.

Munsil graduated from Arizona State University.
