Politico’s Kenen joins Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health

Joanne Kenen has joined Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health as the inaugural Commonwealth Fund Journalist in Residence.

In her new role, Kenen will continue to report on critical topics at the intersection of public health, health policy, and health equity for Politico and other publications. She will also teach a class on the changing media landscape, give guest lectures and be a resource for the alumni.

Kenen has been with Politico for 10 years, holding various posts, including deputy health editor, health care editor, executive editor for Health Politico and editor-at-large, health care.

Before that, Kenen worked at CQ Roll Call covering health policy. She also spent 23 years at Reuters as a national correspondent.
