NY Times appoints Stevis-Gridneff Brussels bureau chief

Matina Stevis-Gridneff

The New York Times has promoted Matina Stevis-Gridneff to the post of Brussels bureau chief. She recently served as Brussels correspondent, covering the European Union.

Stevis-Gridneff joined The Times from The Wall Street Journal, where she worked as Eurozone correspondent and Africa correspondent. She has also worked freelance and was a Marjorie Deane fellow at The Economist, where she wrote mainly about finance and economics and edited the Business This Week page.

Stevis-Gridneff is a University of Oxford graduate.
