Lacy Starling, former president of Legion Logistics, a logistics company based in Newport, Kentucky, has announced the launch of Link Media, Northern Kentucky’s exclusive own homegrown news organization.
Starling has been appointed CEO.
The new outlet will launch by merging the operations of Forth Thomas Matters and River City News in Northern Kentucky. Its genesis goes back to OneNKY Alliance, a nonprofit organization in Kentucky, whose board members include Greg Fischer, chairman of Fischer Homes, a homebuilding company.
The nonprofit had recruited Starling to helm the new effort.
Fischer added:
“There has been a media void in Northern Kentucky for years as our community has progressed, faced new challenges, and developed new opportunities. We were offered the opportunity of a great team and great brands as a base and felt we could build a long-term, community-minded and sustainable media organization.”
Link Media will launch early next year.
