The New Statesman has hired Alix Kroeger as an international managing editor. She joins from the BBC, where she was most recently a senior journalist.
In her new role, she will be managing the international edition, leading planning, commissioning and editing, and working on international strategy.
Kroeger is a veteran BBC journalist. She has served as an assistant editor, launch editor for BBC News Serbian, and senior journalist. She was also a reporter and journalist mentor, BBC Persian TV.
She has also held various other posts, including Prague stringer, Central and South East European regional analyst, and Brussels reporter at the network.
Kroeger graduated from Bishop’s University.
