Robert Lopez has re-joined the Los Angeles Times as a senior community accountability reporter on the Metro team.
Lopez was previously with the Times for more than 22 years, from August 1992 to September 2014, during which time he served as a blogger/editor for LANow and as an investigative reporter. He also became a Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative reporter.
After leaving the paper in 2014, he became associate vice president for communications and public affairs at California State University. He has also taught basic news writing and investigative journalism courses at University of Southern California.
Lopez is a B.A. in journalism from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
