Daily Mirror taps Wilkes as deputy news editor

Joseph Wilkes

The Daily Mirror has promoted Joseph Wilkes to the post of deputy news editor, working on the news desk leading the news team. Previously, he served as production editor.

Wilkes has served as a content editor at Bristol Live/Bristol Post and was a social media editor at the Daily Express and Daily Star. He has also worked as a digital editor at Somerset Live and was a weekend digital publisher at Bristol Live.

He has also reported for Archant.

Wilkes has a B.A. from the University of Portsmouth.
