CNN’s Madowo promoted to international correspondent
CNN has promoted Larry Madowo to the post of international correspondent just two months after joining the network as Nairobi-based correspondent.
Previously, Madowo was at BBC where he served as North America correspondent. before that, he was BBC’s Africa business editor.
He was also a tech editor and news anchor at Nation Media Group. He was also a usiness presenter at CNBC Africa.
Madowo also worked as a business reporter and anchor at Nation Media Group, and was a business reporter for The Standard Group Ltd.
He was also a regular commentator on international outlets such as the CNN International, BBC World Service, The Washington Post, Al Jazeera English, France 24 English, the World Economic Forum, Public Radio International, ABC News Australia and RTÉ Ireland.
He was also named a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum and listed among 100 Most Influential Africans by NewAfrican magazine.
Madowo was a Knight-Bagehot Fellow at Columbia University where he graduated with a master’s in business and economics journalism.
