The Boston Globe is spiking rates for some of its weekday print subscribers up to $24.90 a week later this year, for an annual cost of $1,295.
The announcement was made via email to some subscribers last week. In addition to the increase, the company also announced last week that the cost will rise to $9.50 a week to Sunday-only subscribers.
A Globe spokeswoman confirmed that in 2020, “approximately 35% of the total subscriber base will be asked to continue at a new rate.”
