He has been primarily focused on the technology industry, writing often about startups and venture capital firms. He has a special interest in the effects of government and EU policy on tech giants such as Facebook and Google, but he also wrote about central banks and fintech.
He previously covered Brexit and European politics for Quartz, Germany for the New York Times in Berlin, and was a homepage editor at Ireland’s national state broadcaster.
Before that, he was a journalist with Ireland’s Sunday Business Post newspaper.
