WSJ’s Germano to join FT as sports biz correspondent

Sara Germano

Sara Germano will join The Financial Times in New York as the company’s new U.S. sports business correspondent.

She will start in June.

Recently, she was with the Wall Street Journal working as a staff reporter covering corporate news in Germany with a focus on tech, media, retail, telecommunications, and real estate.

Before that, she was first a reporter, then an online editor with the Journal.

Prior to coming to the WSJ, Germano was an Arthur F. Burns fellow at BILD Gmbh & Co. KG. In addition, she has also served as an intern at Columbia Journalism Review and as a personal research assistant at Mark Singer.

She was also a contributing editor at Civic Research Institute.

Germano is a B.A. in philosophy and history from Fordham University.
