WSJ reporter Sebastian moving to Hong Kong to cover tech finance

Dave Sebastian

Wall Street Journal real-time news desk reporter Dave Sebastian is moving to Hong Kong, where he will cover tech finance and initial public offerings.

He joined the Journal in 2019 after he was a Dow Jones News Fund business reporting intern on the spot news desk over the summer.

Sebastian graduated from Boston University, where he studied journalism, economics and business.

Among the places he has interned are Innovation Leader, Bloomberg Law, WBUR and Voice of America.

Sebastian was born in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
