Wall Street Journal real estate reporter Katherine Clarke has signed a deal with Currency, an imprint of Crown Publishing, to write a book about New York’s skyscrapers.
The book, tentatively called “Race to the Sky,” will focus on midtown Manhattan’s towers known as Billionaire’s Row.
Clarke joined the Journal in 2017 from The Real Deal.
Clarke had been a senior national reporter for the real estate publication. At the Journal, she will be writing for the Mansion section.
Clarke had been at the Real Deal since November 2015. Before that, she spent a year and a half at the New York Daily News as its real estate editor. She earlier worked at the Real Deal from 2011 to 2014.
She has a bachelor’s degree from Trinity University in Dublin and a master’s degree from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
