Austen Hufford has been named the manufacturing reporter at The Wall Street Journal.
Hufford, who has been working on the breaking news desk in New York, will move to the Chicago bureau.
He has been at The Journal since June 2015, covering market-moving U.S. news based on news releases and SEC filings. He has also worked on longer-term, data-based investigations and features.
Hufford is a graduate of the University of Michigan in economics. While in school, he worked on The Michigan Daily. He also interned at the Pacific Coast Business Times.
