Forbes Russia is sold; editor will return

Forbes Russia, whose staff had been protesting about its owner’s meddling, has been sold to a new owner and its editor in chief will return, according to an Interfax story.

Interfax reported, “The new owner of the Russian Forbes is businessman Magomed Musayev, his former chief secretary Nikolai Uskov will return to the new editorial director’s post, the editor-in-chief of the magazine Nikolai Mazurin will again be the editor-in-chief’s duties.

“‘Forbes Russia changed its owner on August 30, 2018. Businessman Magomed Musayev bought 100% of shares of AC RUS RUSSIA from Alexander Fedotov, the owner of the brand, Forbes Media LLC, extended the license for Forbes in Russia to 2023,” said in a statement, received by Interfax from the former publisher of the journal, the media group ACMG.

“The publisher of Forbes is Natalia Gandurina.”
