WSJ. Magazine launches China edition

The Wall Street Journal announced the launch of a new Chinese-language edition of WSJ. Magazine.

WSJ. Magazine China will be distributed via a new partnership with Beijing-based Huasheng Media, part of CMC Inc.

The first issue will be available in July and will focus on men’s style and will feature a blend of existing content from WSJ. Magazine’s global editions alongside original content developed by Huasheng.

“Demand for globally focused luxury and lifestyle content is on the rise in China,” said Kristina O’Neill, WSJ. Magazine editor-in-chief, in a statement. “This partnership with Huasheng marks a new step in the strategic growth of our international footprint.”

WSJ. Magazine China will be overseen by a team of bi-lingual editorial staff based in New York and Beijing. The WSJ. Magazine news team — including a China-based editor — will work closely with Huasheng to ensure the delivery of The Journal’s rigorous ethical and quality standards.

Huasheng has a track record of delivering high-quality print partnerships in China and has previously worked with brands such as T Magazine, New York Times Travel, Wallpaper and Kinfolk.

WSJ. Magazine was launched in 2008
