Kenny Wassus has been hired by The Wall Street Journal as a senior video journalist working with Joanna Stern on all things tech video.
Most recently Wassus was the features producer at New York Magazine, where he led productions for Vulture, The Cut, Daily Intelligencer and GrubStreet. Kenny has written stories and produced, shot and edited video in tech, comedy, pop culture, politics and internet culture.
Before that, he was in D.C. covering the 2016 election.
He hails from small-town Michigan and also has a master’s in writing from DePaul University, a degree he promptly threw away after pivoting to video, “the superior form of content,” according to Stern.
