Jon Shazar has been named editor of Dealbreaker, a business news site that covers Wall Street gossip.
He replaces Thornton McEnery, who is leaving for a job covering Wall Street at the New York Post.
Shazar has been a contributing editor to Dealbreaker since November 2016 after freelancing for the site for four years. He has also been a contributor to sister blogs Above the Law and MedCityNews, authoring advertiser-sponsored posts, interviews and other pieces covering both the legal and life sciences industries.
He previously worked as managing editor of FINalternatives and for Institutional Investor News.
