WSJ hires McCaffrey as banking reporter

Orla McCaffrey

Orla McCaffrey has joined the Wall Street Journal as a banking reporter and will be working with the Journal’s banking team.

She will be covering consumer finance topics such as new credit products and the evolution of community banks.

Recently, McCaffrey was a business reporting intern with The Dallas Morning News. Before that, she held the posts of digital news intern and markets intern at Ad Age and The Wall Street Journal respectively.

She also held the post of news editor at Pipe Dream and served as a reporting and copy editing intern at Omaha World-Herald.

McCaffrey has a bachelor’s degree in political science and Spanish from Binghamton University.
