Kateri Jochum has been hired by The Wall Street Journal as the new executive producer of audio, overseeing WSJ’s existing news, tech and science podcasts and working to grow its portfolio.
She joins The Journal from The Skimm where she was most recently senior director of audio. In this role, she oversaw all of The Skimm’s podcasts and launched their first daily news podcast, Skimm This.
Prior to The Skimm, Jochum spent more than five years in various roles at ABC Radio News where she covered breaking and international news.
She previously served as a senior producer at PRI’s The Takeaway and as an editor/producer at WNYC. In addition, Jochum worked in Germany as producer, host and editor of Deutsche Welle Radio’s weekly business podcast
