The Wall Street Journal has hired Annemarie Dooling to be product lead for its newsletters.
She starts next week.
Dooling will be working with senior editor Cory Schouten on The Journal’s big newsletter push.
She has been with Vox Media since March 2016, and for the last six months she was newsletter and retention growth lead, working with email communication and notifications across Vox Media, as well as directing product, revenue and IT support across more than 400 monthly newsletters to 1.5 million readers.
Before that, she was director of programming for Racked.com, launching distributed platform projects such as Snapchat, Instagram Stories and
video across Facebook, Apple News and Twitter.
Dooling also spent a year as director of growth at Vocativ and two years at The Huffington Post as a senior community editor.
