Inside Business part of Tronc purchase of Virginian-Pilot

Business publication Inside Business is part of Tronc Inc.’s publication of The Virginian-Pilot newspaper for $34 million, according to a story on its website.

The story states, “Inside Business is a wholly owned subsidiary of Pilot Media.

“Also included in the sale are other subsidiary and specialty publications, such as Richmond-based Style Weekly, and The Flagship, which covers regional military news. Real estate, including The Pilot’s longtime headquarters building at 150 W. Brambleton Ave. in downtown Norfolk, and a printing plant at 5429 Greenwich Road in Virginia Beach, also are part of the transaction.

“Inside Business first published in November 1995. It is part of Pilot Targeted Media, a division of Landmark Media Enterprises. The regional business journal is printed weekly. Its news, advertising and management staff work out of The Pilot’s Brambleton Avenue building.”
