WSJ hires Abdel-Baqui as breaking news reporter

Omar Abdel-Baqui

The Wall Street Journal has tapped Omar Abdel-Baqui as a breaking news reporter.

He previously had a stint as a corporate reporting intern, covering businesses from small home contractors to corporations at the Journal.

He has also held various roles at The Detroit Free Press, including police reporter, general assignment reporter and reporting news intern. He has also interned at NBC News.

Abdel-Baqui has a B.A. in journalism and Arabic from Wayne State University.
