WSJ, GrowthSpotter win Eppy Awards

The Wall Street Journal won the Eppy Award for best business and financial news website with more than 1 million monthly visitors from Editor and Publisher, while the Orlando Sentinel’s GrowthSpotter.com won for best business and financial news website with less than 1 million monthly visitors.

Meanwhile, The Journal’s “Open Sesame: Peering Inside Alibaba” won for best business reporting on a website with more than 1 million monthly visitors.

Selling Hope” from the Sarasota Herald-Tribune won the Eppy for best business reporting on a website with less than 1 million monthly visitors.

Inside the Market” from the Toronto Globe and Mail won for the best business blog on a website with more than 1 million monthly visitors, while Videomind by Ooyala won for best business blog on a website with less than 1 million monthly visitors.

He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
