WSJ financial editor Guerrera is leaving the paper

After four outstanding years as Financial Editor, Francesco Guerrera will be leaving the Wall Street Journal at the end of the month. Under Francesco’s leadership, Money & Investing and our global financial and markets coverage have advanced on multiple fronts. From market-moving scoops to insightful and consequential analysis of global markets and the rapidly changing financial sector, Francesco and his team have led the way in ensuring that the Journal and Dow Jones Newswires have remained the indispensable source for financial news.

Please join me in thanking Francesco for his leadership, tenacity and hard work and for his commitment to the highest standards of good journalism. We wish him all the very best in his future endeavors.

Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
