The Appleton Post-Crescent said in Friday’s paper that it would cut its stock listings and use that space for a daily national business roundup.
The paper stated, “The Post-Crescent ‘Markets and Money’ feature now will appear five days a week.
The package, which runs Tuesday through Friday, also will appear every Saturday, along with a scaled-back version of the week in review of stocks listings and mutual funds. The listings will continue to feature top performers from the New York Stock Exchange, Nasdaq, and stocks and mutual funds of local interest.
“Returning later this month will be the daily performance listing of stocks of local interest. These numbers will appear Tuesday through Saturday on the business section cover.
“Markets and Money highlights national and international business briefs, and market indicators and trends, assembled by Gannett News Service. It also includes the closing numbers of the previous day’s major financial markets as well as the day’s top business news stories.”
