Tom Shine, the assistant managing editor for business at the Wichita Eagle, writes in the Sunday paper that it is added a new business section on Thursdays called Business Today and has expanded its business news staff.
Shine writes, “Business Today will explore the challenges the business community faces and tell stories of companies that are succeeding and how they are doing it.
“Business Today also will allow advertisers an opportunity to reach decision-makers in the business community.”
Later, he added, “Our latest hire is veteran business reporter Jerry Siebenmark, who joins us Monday. A Wichita State University grad, Jerry will cover the banking and financial services industries. He most recently worked at the Wichita Business Journal.
“The Eagle now has the largest business staff in Kansas. And we’re in the process of hiring another full-time reporter to further increase the breadth and depth of our business coverage.”
