Josh Heck, a reporter at the Wichita Business Journal for the past 10 years, is leaving the American City Business Journals paper.

Heck writes, “And it’s with bittersweet emotions that I announce today marks the end of my more than 10-year tenure here. I am making a career move to become marketing manager for Syndeo, an outsourced human resources services provider.

“But I’d be remiss to not express my gratitude to the WBJ first.

“I started with the company as a 25-year-old knowing little more about business than how to spell the word.

“The WBJ took a chance on me anyway, and for that I’m forever grateful. Co-workers have become friends and an extension of family in many cases. I’ve learned about business and had access to people I wouldn’t have otherwise were it not for my job as a Business Journal reporter.”
