Jane Wester, a public safety reporter at The Charlotte Observer, will join the New York Law Journal in early September.
Wester will cover the Queens, Brooklyn and Long Island court system for the publication.
Prior to The Observer, Wester was the editor-in-chief for the Daily Tar Heel, a news intern for the Austin American-Statesman and a metro intern at the Charlotte Observer.
She graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill in 2017.
