Robert Terry, the managing editor of the Washington Business Journal, is leaving the paper on Friday to become editor in chief of Booz Allen Hamilton.
He starts his new job on June 20.
“I’ve been lucky enough to have the best job in ACBJ the last five years,” said Terry. “It’s very hard leaving this company.”
Terry has been the managing editor of the American City Business Journals’ paper for five years, overseeing a 20-person newsroom providing breaking news coverage and analysis of business in Greater Washington on a variety of platforms — a highly trafficked website, four blogs, three daily email products and a weekly print product.
He previously was managing editor for online and special projects for the Daily Record and associate and web editor for the Baltimore Business Journal. He was also as a reporter covering technology, biotechnology, transportation and sports business for the paper.
Terry also worked at Washington Techway magazine. He has degrees from Towson University and Northeastern University.
