The Triangle Business Journal in Raleigh has hired Laura Brummett to cover retail and restaurants.
She will start Nov. 29 and will also cover business services.
Brummett is the city editor for RALToday, the Raleigh-based newsletter from 6AM City, for the past nine months.
She previously interned at The (Raleigh) News & Observer, tech news site GrepBeat and The Sanford Herald. Brummett is a business journalism graduate from UNC-Chapel Hill.
