January 27, 2007

Mark Heinzl, a former business reporter for the Wall Street Journal in its Toronto bureau, has been named the Toronto Star’s new business editor, according to a story in Saturday’s paper.

“Star editor-in-chief Fred Kuntz says that’s just what’s needed.

“‘Mark is well known for his solid, fearless coverage of business as a reporter,’ said Kuntz, himself a former Star business editor, in announcing Heinzl’s appointment. ‘Now as an editor he can help infuse all of the Star‘s business coverage with the same sense of authority and daring.'”
