Time magazine, which was sold earlier this year to new owners, is planning to expand its business and technology coverage, according to a memo Wednesday from editor in chief Edward Felsenthal.
Deputy editor Eben Shapiro will oversee the expansion.
“A former New York Times business reporter who later led coverage of personal health at the Wall Street Journal, Eben is perfectly suited to lead the recruiting, strategy and execution in these areas,” said Felsenthal in the memo. “So many of the seamless transitions of the past year — with more to come when we move into our new headquarters in New York — are a credit to Eben’s behind-the-scenes work.”
