Time Inc. executive vice president Evelyn Webster sent out the following announcement on Monday:
I am delighted to share that effective immediately Meredith Long is promoted to Group Publisher of Time, Fortune and Money.
In this role, Meredith will oversee sales, marketing, live events and development of new products and revenue streams for all three brands. She will continue to strengthen the core businesses, accelerate revenue diversification and drive digital scale and engagement. She will also take on oversight of the highly successful Fortune conference business that includes Most Powerful Women, Brainstorm Tech and the Fortune Global Forum.
Meredith has done a remarkable job as the Publisher of Time. Last year, she and her excellent team grew revenue across digital, video, native, live events and, most notably, print. She launched Stitch, Time’s in-house creative studio, and has overseen a major revenue expansion of the Time 100 Gala. Working closely with Editor Nancy Gibbs, Meredith helped launch Motto, Time’s new site for millennial women, and conceived new franchises including Question Everything, which was extended across multiple Time Inc. brands. She is also responsible for monetizing Time’s yearlong, award-winning digital video series A Year In Space, which was adapted into a special series on PBS.
Meredith is an incredible talent, and we are lucky to have her at Time Inc. Her leadership and energy at Time have been infectious, and I look forward to watching her bring those strengths to Fortune and Money.
In addition, I am happy to announce that Jorg Stratmann is promoted to Associate Publisher, Time, Fortune and Money, having served as Associate Publisher of Time since February of last year. Jorg brings a remarkably disciplined and focused approach to selling and will continue to drive results across this broader portfolio of brands.
With these changes, Fortune & Money Publisher Eric Danetz is leaving his role and is considering positions inside and outside of Time Inc. Eric has been a strong leader at Fortune and Money, and I hope you’ll join me in thanking him for his many contributions.
