TheStreet hires two new editorial staffers

Binti Pawa has been hired as senior director of search engine optimization, working in the newsroom.

Pawa came from Time, where she also had a senior SEO role before leaving earlier this year. She had been head of SEO for food, lifestyle and luxury. She has also been head of SEO for Fareportal and Travelocity.

Cathaleen Chen has also been hired as a consumer reporter for TheStreet. She came from The Real Deal. Chen also worked at the Christian Science Monitor and holds a journalism degree from Northwestern University.

“Both started last week and killing it early on,” said CEO David Callaway in an email to Talking Biz News.

TheStreet is still looking for an editor in chief.
