The Verge has hired technology journalist Alex Cranz as its managing editor.
She will start later this month. The Verge, which is part of Vox Media, examines how technology will change life in the future for a massive mainstream audience.
She had been senior consumer tech editor at Gizmodo. She had been with Gizmodo since January 2016.
Cranz previously was associate reviews editor for Tom’s Guide and Laptop Magazine.
She is a graduate of the University of the South.
