The Points Guy has hired travel journalist Laura Motta as an editorial director.
Motta will help run the newsroom amid a growing team.
Currently, the organization has more than 100 employees. Also, 2019 saw a 27 percent increase in visitors, and the company publishing more than 8,000 posts. A 32 percent year-over-year increase in new visitors was also reported.
Motta has been a travel editor and writer who has spent the last nine years leading content teams at ShermansTravel. Before that, she was an expat in Europe. She has also worked at Travelzoo, NBC/iVillage and Everyday Health.
