The Information hires Krouse to cover Google parent

Sarah Krouse

The Information executive editor Amir Efrati sent out the following message to the staff:

Team,

We’re delighted to announce that Sarah Krouse will join us as a reporter covering Alphabet. It’s a huge story with implications for numerous industries and society while the company battles internal employee activism and external antitrust attacks. She starts April 19 in New York.

Sarah has been a reporter at the Wall Street Journal for the past six years, reporting on asset management and telecom before shifting to pandemic-related coverage. She broke news around the Sprint/T-Mobile merger, wrote about the lucrative business of robocalls and how banks use non-disclosure agreements to silence victims of phone scams. She also detailed Fidelity’s workplace culture problems. More recently she reported on the Trump Administration’s failed pandemic-response efforts.

Previously Sarah wrote about investment banks and asset managers for Dow Jones’ Financial News and covered commercial real estate at the Washington Business Journal after graduating from George Washington University.

The big world of Alphabet includes everything from cutting edge AI to anti-aging research to self-driving cars. And its internal culture is a never-ending fount of drama and high-profile stories, to say the least. We can’t wait for her to get started.

Please welcome Sarah!
