Zoë Bernard, a reporter covering startups and tech culture at Business Insider, has been hired by The Information to cover venture capital from its New York bureau.
It’s the second hire that five-year-old The Information has made this week to bolster its East Coast operations. On Monday, the website hired Politico’s Ashley Gold to help it open a Washington bureau.
Bernard has been with Business Insider since October 2017, first as an intern. A former piano teacher, she was a fact checker for Via magazine and a blogger for SiliconAngle Media.
She also worked at San Francisco magazine and Eater. She holds a degree from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas.
