The Guardian hires three tech reporters for United States

The Guardian announced the addition of three technology reporters to its west coast bureau based in San Francisco:

Nellie Bowles has most recently been a contributing writer to The California Sunday magazine as well as working on a book for Hachette and TV show based on one of her stories for 20th Century Fox. She previously covered the tech world for Re/code and the San Francisco Chronicle.

Julia Carrie Wong joins from SF Weekly, where she is currently a news and politics staff writer. She previously worked as a freelance reporter, contributing articles on San Francisco Bay Area politics and the tech industry for Salon, In These Times, the New Yorker, USA Today and Vice.

Danny Yadron joins from the Wall Street Journal, where he is a cybersecurity reporter based in San Francisco. Previously he was The Journals’s technology policy and political reporter in Washington, and has also written for the Buffalo News and the Austin American-Statesman.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
