The Economist has hired Kristene Quan as senior social media editor.
She will start next month and be based in New York.
Quan has been executive producer of digital content at Postmedia in Toronto since January 2020. Before that, she was with The Globe and Mail as a content strategist and a content editor. She was also digital and social media editor for Report on Business, the Globe and Mail’s business publication.
She also worked as a reporter for Canadian Business magazine.
Quan holds a master’s degree from Northwestern University and a bachelor’s degree from McGill University.
