Ohio-based Brown Publishing, which has been purchasing weekly business newspapers around the country in the past year, has bought Inside Collin County Business, a business newspaper in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
AÂ brief in the Dallas Morning News stated, “Brown Publishing Co. is the same company that bought the Fort Worth Business Press in September 2007, the first of 11 acquisitions of business newspapers. Banks Dishmon, publisher of the Fort Worth paper, will take over that role for the Collin County newspaper as well. Jack Bick, Inside Collin County‘s president and founder, will become publisher, the company said.
“Brown Publishing is based in Blue Ash, Ohio, and was founded in 1920 by former Ohio Rep. Clarence J. Brown. “
