Dawn Cobb, who has been the business editor of the Denton Record-Chronicle in Texas, has been promoted to managing editor of the paper, according to a story Wednesday.
The story stated, “‘Dawn has been instrumental in many of the design changes we have made to many of our niche publications. She will continue this effort with the Record-Chronicle, making it more useful and relevant,’ said Record-ChronÂicle Publisher Bill Patterson.
“Cobb has worked with the Denton Publishing Company since 1986, most recently serving as editor of the Denton Business Chronicle and as business editor for the Record-Chronicle in addition to overseeing numerous special publications.
“‘Dawn has been a valuable member of the DR-C newsroom,’ Patterson said. ‘She has taken various leadership positions and has excelled at each of them. Most recently, she has developed the DR-C business coverage to include the launch two years ago of Denton Business Chronicle. She also led the successful launch of Kid Life in August of this year. This publication is aimed at elementary school students and their parents and distributed through take-home packets in the DISD.'”
