Task joins Seeking Alpha as VP of contributor content

Aaron Task

Longtime business journalist Aaron Task has joined investment news site SeekingAlpha.com as vice president of contributor content.

In October, Seeking Alpha started a podcast channel “Alpha Trader” featuring Task as one of its hosts.

He most recently was editor in chief of Experian. Task had been editor in chief of Fortune.com until November 2016.

Task joined Fortune after time at Yahoo Finance, where he was editor in chief. During his time at Fortune, he pushed the web operation to a 30 percent increase in organic traffic vs. 2015 and a 160 percent increase in video starts.

Before joining Yahoo in 2008, he spent 10 years at TheStreet.com in a variety of roles, including executive editor.  He also served as the on-camera host for Yahoo’s video efforts.

He is the winner of a number of journalism awards and contributing editor, with Barry Ritholtz, of the 2008 book “Bailout Nation.”

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
